I was enjoying the duo's funny moments at first, but then that horror game really scared me. The turn of events caught me completely off guard. And more importantly, I really love the progression here—Marin breaking down over something that hadn’t even happened yet cracked me up.

It was funny watching Gojo and Marin's reactions. And i can relate a bit to Marin in overthinking play haha. It was good episode, the anticipation, the rollercoaster emotion i feel in this episode is peak.

Watching this episode made me smile like an idiot because of Marin's reaction just like when I read the manga way back. The studio dove deeper into the sequence when Gojo was playing the coffin game, it felt creepier thanks to the accompanying soundtrack.

This episode has Gojo playing through the Coffin horror game. The Coffin scenes are fairly well-animated and mimic the feel of pixelated visual novels quite well. This episode is more of a research-focused episode than anything else; not much happens.

the game animation sequences are SMOOTH. the contrast between pixelated game graphics and detailed character animation is clever. night time lighting in wakana's room feels cozy. the jumpscare sound design is genuinely startling. 🎮

I thought Gojo bought some performance enhancer and then he just chugged an energy drink to play a scary video game all night

Sharing cup noodles on the floor felt so quiet and sweet compared to all the panic from earlier and it makes their bond feel so much more real

Marin's absolute mortification over her underwear and then falling off the couch was almost too much, but I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all right after Gojo stumbled out looking like he'd seen a ghost from that terrifying game. The way he accidentally pinned her down had my heart racing a bit, like, did that just happen in this fluffy rom-com?

Gojo looked like he had seen a ghost after playing that game all night and the way he was just staring into space at the table made the whole stayover way funnier

I can't believe Marin actually thought those energy drinks were for something else and her face when she was searching for that lacy underwear was too much

Watching Marin in the shower losing her mind over a misunderstanding made her look so stressed and the animation for her blushing was so bright

My heart was hurting for Gojo when he was on that video call looking pale because he actually took the time to understand the dark themes of Marins favorite game

Marin waiting until after the group cosplay to confess feels like she is taking things more seriously now and her walk to the station with Gojo was so peaceful and nice

Sajuna putting all that focus into her wig while Marin was busy eating mackerel dinner was such a great parallel for their different ways of showing passion

Hearing Gojo describe that game while he was still wearing that ridiculous hoodie was hilarious, and the thousand-yard stare he had after finishing the story was such a perfect visual for his dedication

Marin seemed so vulnerable finally opening up about her dad while they just ate cup noodles, and it totally caught me off guard after the whole pin incident. I swear, these two always manage to make even the most mundane stuff feel incredibly profound and close, which is exactly why I'm so invested in their relationship.

I can't believe how much that ending at the station got to me, because Marin looked so ready to just say it but then she held back for the event, and seeing Gojo so drained from the visual novel was hilarious too while his grandfather just watching them eat dinner together made the whole house feel so welcoming and sweet

The way Marin picked out that special underwear and worried about her lucky charm condoms only for Gojo to get traumatized by a tragic visual novel plot is such a total mess and I love them together

Marin, seriously, why couldn't you just tell him how you feel walking home in the dark like that?! I was literally holding my breath, thinking this was finally it, and now I have to wait for whatever big "event" she's planning. My poor heart can only handle so much slow-burn tension before I just explode from anticipation!

Marin having a full mental crisis over those condoms being her lucky charm while Gojo is just enjoying a nice bath in the other room is a level of irony that only this show can pull off

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 9 deepened Wakana and Marin's bond through shared vulnerability, and Episode 10 carries that momentum forward by channeling it into another creative partnership that doubles as relationship development. Sitting at the penultimate stretch of a 12-episode season, this installment is doing critical groundwork—building the emotional foundation that Episodes 11 and 12 will need to deliver a satisfying climax. It's a setup episode in the best sense, positioning both characters for the personal realizations and growth that the final arc demands.
