The action kicks off hard when the fighting breaks into the colony. That emotional handoff scene with the Unicorn is crazy good! And the music during the launch gives you literal chills. Huge payoff in this episode.
If you ask me, what happened in this episode doesn't even compare to what happened in the previous titles. There's some iconic things that happened in this episode namely, the disappointing appearance of the person commandeering the signature white ship of the federation, the iconic first activation of Unicorn along with a rather surprising revelation followed by it's awesome first fight and not to mention a surprising appearance of another important person at the end of the episode.
An almost perfect episode. Gundam series always had their ways to give us the chills when introducing the series main character mobile suit and Banagher is definitely one of the coolest one. Pace and visual is on point, but the biggest chill factor was the soundtrack when Unicorn awakened. It's so goddamn cool!
