okay so toshi gets tested hard right out the gate here against some real veterans love how the show doesnt just hand him an easy win even with how talented he is. the mind games behind the plate are top tier baseball writing. watch this
This is like a filler episode. The pacing starts to get some issues as the whole ep has no signs of Goro. This may be a plot side point, but I think it's a skippable one. Toshiya was focused solely on this episode. His character is building to see what his struggles are, his doubts, and mindset in choosing his take on life.
This episode is just okay. The tension in this episode felt the same as in the previous one. On a funny note—and a bit of nitpicking about the animation—the way Toshi pocketed the autograph felt like something out of Doraemon. That thing just vanished, LOL!
