Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's

With the end of the battle it is finally time for the epilogue. I’d like to say it is a chill episode, but the after effects of the battle and the situation regarding Reinforce, still leaves some sad and emotional beats to an episode that is overall a perfect conclusion for the season.

In its second to last episode it is finally time for the real final battle! Even if Hayate’s situation changed, the world is still in danger. The episode concludes de fierce battle in a beautiful way, showing everyone’s strength and determination.

With Fate captured by the Book of Darkness, Nanoha is left all by herself to deal with the situation. But even with such dire circumstances, it is very inspiring to see her not lose courage and not give up not only in saving Fate, but also Hayate and the own Book of Darkness itself.

With the Book of Darkness completed and the true identity of the ones plotting in the shadows coming to light, Nanoha A’s comes to its climax with a battle of catastrophic proportions, showing to us how dangerous the book really is and putting us at the edge of our seats in anticipation.

With Christmas approaching and Hayate’s life being dangerously close to an end, situations get tense in what feels like a race against time. What will be happening first? Will the book be complete or will its master’s identity be uncovered? Episode 9 comes to finish the final setup that the last episode started, delivering us right to a climax that can be both expected, unexpected and enticing.

A surprise attack from a recurring mysterious character, such a underrated tactic, but actually effective. The Book of Darkness is closer to completion now and secrets are uncovered in the Infinity Library. This episode, being the 8th on a season with 13 episodes, feels like a big final setup. The last pieces start to fall into place, bringing us closer and closer to the climax.

Knowing the reason why the knights want to complete the Book of Darkness puts us, the viewers, in an interesting situation as we are made to care about Hayate and at the same time, we don’t want to see our main characters losing or fighting against people that they couldn’t be friends with. And this contradiction is expressed really well throughout the episode as, just like in the previous season, the show makes a point in the importance of talking and wanting to understand each other. Though, it does leaves a question, if the Knights have such a noble reason, who is in fact the villain of the season?

A very much welcomed exposition showing us the past of the Book of Darkness and more importantly, Hayate’s. For what reason did the book chose her? Why she lives alone and why the Knights seem so dedicated and passionate about her? All these questions finally find a satisfactory answer in this episode.

The slow and normal everyday life didn’t last for long and with its ends, a new battle started. And with a new battle, comes new powers and newly upgraded devices that shows that Nanoha and Fate are not there to be pushed over like a punching bag. Those girls can fight and they deliver a really good fight throughout the episode.

No matter how convoluted the current circumstances are, one thing that this whole new incident brought was a chance to give Fate a normal life. The only question is, how long can this normal life last before it is time for another battle? Overall, this is a slow down episode, but I believe, a well deserved one, especially for Fate and Nanoha.

Even after one crisis with the Lost Logia down, it seems there is no time to stop for Nanoha, Fate and the TSAB. Following the battle from the last episode, it is clear the situation is more dangerous and complicated than anyone could predict, but even then, even if the situation is not ideal, at least the two girls are finally together again, which makes this a very light and delightful episode.

New encounters, new beginnings and new battles, with an explosive start, Nanoha finds herself in the cusp of a battle that she cannot understand and in a precarious situation like none before. With such high stakes right from the get go, this second episode sure does make you be at the edge of your seat the entire time.

Nanoha comes back with a new season with just a few months passing in universe, and while it feels like we never left from the previous seasons, things escalate in such a way just in this first episode alone that you would never guess this is just the introduction for a season 2. Overall, a very solid start to what can be a great new season.

Nanoha and Fate express deep sorrow upon learning the tragic truth behind the Book of Darkness. Discovering the immense suffering endured by Hayate and her Knights breaks their hearts.

Without a master, the defense program becomes nothing more than a giant mass of condensed magic. Lacking any control, it transforms into an unpredictable and highly dangerous force.

Inside Hayate consciousness, the spirit of the Book of Darkness offers her a painless, eternal dream world. This tempting offer would allow her mind to rest while her physical body peacefully fades away.

Chrono Harlaown finally captures the mysterious masked twins with his binding spell.

Watching as Hayate weep is deeply sad, but with her loud scream i felt her immense pain. That heartbreaking moment perfectly captures the depth of her suffering.

Amy reported that a cyberattack bypassed their security, knocking the ground base offline. This security breach completely blocked her from sending vital reinforcements to help the ambushed.

I loved watching Fate Testarossa use her upgraded Bardiche to unleash the powerful Haken Saber attack during an intense aerial battle against Signum. It was thrilling.
