Vita confidently believes they cannot lose the fight, and she is completely unaware that the Book of Darkness is already gone.

Episode Context

Coming off the shocking ambush in episode 1 that introduced the Wolkenritter threat, this second episode crystallizes just how outmatched the protagonists are and establishes the central conflict driving the season. It serves as a critical escalation point early in the 13-episode run, forcing Nanoha and Fate to confront a power gap that will likely define their growth trajectory. The groundwork laid here sets up the need for regrouping and new strategies in the episodes ahead.
