Episode yang kocak dan lucu. Kejar-kejarannya chaos banget dahh kwkwkwk. Nico juga lucuu banget disini, bener-bener berasa kayak super idol yang selalu pengen jadi pusat perhatian.
You could never go wrong in a Nico-focused episode. This is an absolute 25252 level.Anyway, to start off... The first few parts were for the funsies. Honoka's little nightmare was one thing, but the whole mini arc of chasing Nico was funny. Especially when Nozomi failed to catch up due to some 'circumstances', so she went and chose Rin like a Pokémon to do the job, lol.That aside, here comes the serious part. Nico is everything and anything all at once. She's perhaps one, if not the most, complex character of the franchise. Despite this focus episode on her, her story barely scratched the surface. Nico, known for her abrasiveness and gremlin energy--many people hate her. Many people are annoyed with her. It's mostly because of how she was portrayed in the anime, which was a different talk we can have for another time, but specifically on her anime personality, Nico was often reduced to the punchline. She also, more often than not, gets ignored. And really, I get it. People can hate her for a lot of things. Even I can see and understand that. But it's also precisely because of those things that this episode was so important in the series. It gives us a much deeper look at Nico's background. For some, this episode may just seem like a poor excuse Nico made for her actions. But look closely: this is exactly the door to getting to know what makes Nico the number 1 idol in the universe.It's not the grand gestures, Nico's cuteness, or the Nico Nico Nii. They're part of it, yes, but this episode looks past all that for a moment and truly lets us see a glimpse of Nico's 'truth. This episode also sets the stage for Nico as Nico herself, a member of μ's, not Nico as the 'super idol'.Love her or abhor her--- you won't be able to deny at the end of the episode why Nico was important to this group.Anyway, Maki was being prickly again, especially when she thought Nico got a 'boyfriend' (implied, not canon at all) lol. Really funny too. Anyway, Yazawa-induced cuteness overload!!
Listen, Tsubasa stated it herself, Nico is the little demon of μ's (not the fallen angel btw)If you don't like her because she's noisy or tries a little too hard to act cute, that's totally fine. But remember, she has a dream, and there's nothing wrong with that. What's wrong with wanting to become a cute idol? Absolutely nothing. That's exactly why this episode is so important.We already got Nico's backstory in the first season, but this episode goes even deeper. It doesn't just remind us of the PTSD she carries from her previous idol group falling apart, she also got herself something to do in her own world. Even back in Episode 1, you could see how desperately she wanted to become a successful idol. She didn't want to experience failure again, and she wanted μ's to give everything they had. This is exactly why Nico is such an important member of the group.That aside, I also love how many little easter eggs they slipped into this episode. "Hanamaru Store?" Yeah, sure... I wonder who that could be lmao. And if you remember, there are still a few members whose backstories haven't been fully explored yet, so we've still got plenty to look forward to in the next few episodes. special rate for this episodeSuperidol/10
