What a performm!!!!!!!!!! Cantikk-cantikk dan lucu-lucu bangettt pake uniform yang baruuu. Lagu barunya juga enak banget, ditambah latarnya yang bagus bikin performnyaa makin berasaa. Penceritaan menuju perform sampai penampilannya sendiri seru banget buat diikutin.
Overflowing cuteness left and right!Yume no Tobira, or Door of Dreams, an iconic song performed in this episode. If you read the lyrics, you would see that it exactly mirrors the previous episode's 'learnings'. It especially shows in the music Maki composed.Performance aside, the costumes were also pretty great. The incorporation Kotori made out of the flowers Hanayo had shown her back then was really pretty. It also feels so magical as they performed under the vast skies full of stars, which was another callback to Nozomi's words previously.This is also the episode I started side-eyeing HonoTsuba lol. You'd understand once you watched the ep, and Nico and Hanayo were also on the go as soon as they saw Tsubasa. Maki was also being a little prickly here, which was pretty funny to me as a NicoMaki shipper given the reveal about Nico's way of supporting A-rise long before their own group was formed.However, this is also one of many circumstances in which I didn't like the anime's treatment of Nico specifically. All for funsies and all that, which was fine, funny, but I never liked how it came at the cost of her character.Overall, the animation was pretty done well, especially given the era it was released. It goes to show just how much the animation grew and how much effort were put into it.Also, Nico's twin buns were really cute!!
This is truly our "Door of Dreams".Yume no Tobira was the perfect payoff to all the struggles from the previous episode. I still remember the first time I watched it and got genuine goosebumps. It was such a special experience.As for A-Rise, I honestly don't think they're bad at all. Their music has a catchy pop style that's really easy to enjoy. They only have about two or three songs in total tho, so there's not much to talk about. Still, their performance in this episode was really solid. You should definitely give it a watch, they actually got me hooked. Their music is so damn catchy. But yeah... that's pretty much all I can say about A-Rise.As for the animation, just don't pause mid performances lmao. The animators had to make the dance movements look fluid, so a stretched frame or two was inevitable. There's already a meme about one of A-Rise's stretched frames, but honestly, both performances were executed really well.
