QUICK TAKES

Emosi nya cukup dapet di episode ini. Ada banyak momen yang lucu, tapi di saat yang sama juga berhasil nyampein perasaan para karakternya dengan baik. Menurutku keseluruhan episode ini seru dan enak banget buat diikutin.

When I first watched this episode a decade ago, I wasn't exactly thrilled for many reasons. For one, I didn't like how they got lazy with Nico's hairstyle for the performance when we could have gotten Ikemen Nico (argh), and second, I wasn't exactly a fan of Rin. But when I rewatched it a few years after that again, Rin really grew on me. I'm still mad, of course, about Nico's hairstyle, but I really love how this Rin-focused episode was done so well. I also love the performance. But more than that, the dynamics shown were really endearing on this ep. Especially since the second years weren't exactly directly involved, hence the focus was really on the first years (plus Nico...honestly, Nico really blends with the first years, what the).
Skippable but not recommended because you get to see Rin's background AND growth as a character. You might end up wondering in the future eps about some changes about her---this is where you'll find the answer!

This episode is so wholesome... Seriously, it tells one of the most iconic backstories in Love Live (at least when it comes to the series' lore). You'll see why as the story continues.
It's such a heartwarming episode. Before this, we all knew Rin as the energetic tomboy who rarely got the spotlight and was often overshadowed by Honoka as the group's most energetic member. This episode completely flips that perception about her. Rippi also did an amazing job as Rin's voice actress. According to the fanbase, she and Emi Nitta have personalities that are the closest to the characters they portray. If that's true, then the casting team absolutely nailed it.
Definitely worth watching. I mean, you could skip it if you're not a Rin fan, i won't judge, but you'd be missing one of the sweetest character arc episodes in this season.
