I wished the battle played out differently. Satomi and Carnival showed an unprecedented shift mid-fight, but despite knowing their strength, the ending felt abruptly paced. It was a fair conclusion, but a bit too predictable for the main cast.

After so much emotional turmoil, this episode felt slower. The pacing between Suzuko and Chinatsu's friendship feels repetitive, even though the shift in their bond is crucial for development. Good buildup, but a bit dragged.

We knew how that battle would end. Gambling pieces of their lives just to feel in control. Satomi actually makes a point: he just built a survival-of-the-fittest arena in a world he masters. Deep stuff.

That was quite anti-climatic. Satomi and Carnival had more potential. The darkness the show presented got lessened making it quite disappointing. The story could've explored more about those aspects. There was also more unnecessary drama between the main characters.

High stakes and heavy emotions. A wish means everything, but never in the way you'd expect. Fighting for the memories that define who you are makes this episode an absolute emotional rollercoaster.

That felt like a really long episode. It was the most irritating episode. The drama was exaggerated. What Satomi said and his reaction is relatable, I share his sentiments. Was that supposed to be the equivalent of guys punching each other to communicate?

That was hard. Was there a right or wrong choice in that situation? They both still have a future and they're both still young. Struggling alone does not always work. There are times that someone or some people can help you and during that time, you can hold their stretched out hands.

Satomi shows his true colors with his twisted mind games and sadistic streak. As the stakes rise and matches get brutal, new mechanics emerge, leaving us with even more questions. Absolute peak tension!

The human mind has a way of dealing with pain. It's like a wound that is already scabbed. You don't pick it or it will bleed again and hurt you. Some memories are meant to be forgotten or buried rather than remembered. Life is a cycle of pain in different forms and people have various ways of dealing with it. It is up to you how you're going to go at it.

This episode raises a lot of questions. Hopefully, the next episodes will answer all of them. Among all the characters, Satomi is the only interesting one. Nakamura Yuichi did a great job fleshing out this character. The voice acting made Satomi a character who is detestable but also someone you can sympathize with.

This show is turning into a story about existential crisis. The importance of memories to the characters are becoming more apparent. However, the show has been dragging this out. It is a pain to watch at this point. Even their reliance on memories being the only basis for everything has gotten more ridiculous. It is as if they are presenting to the audience that memories alone make up a person. Then, they portray as well that actions in the present can change who someone is as compared to the past. So contradictory.

You cannot bring back the dead. Changing memories won't change the truth, it will only result in a lie. These characters and their perspective on memories are making this worse by the second.

This is getting harder to watch. They all suck. It's true that memories are important in the story. However, they are all treating their memories like that's all there is to life.

They say never meet your heroes. For Suzuko that was Chinatsu. Suzuko is clearly clinging to her past with Chinatsu as her hope. The game is becoming more terrifying to the players, especially for Suzuko.

The story becomes darker as it progresses. Chinatsu's existence in Suzuko's life is shown to be more important than how it was presented previously. The stakes and tension of the game to the Selector is increasing.

Chinatsu has a lot on her plate. Meanwhile, Suzuko does not have much to lose. The both of them are going through their lives, keeping each other in mind. The game is showing its true colors little by little.

This is based on this series alone as I have not seen the prequels. It's actually a card game anime. Compared to Yu-Gi-Oh, this is dark. It started on a light hearted moment but the tone changed when the game came to the scene.

The Bookmaker keeps driving the tension with scheduled battles. Everyone is chasing their goals, but this ep felt a bit repetitive. Surviving is all that matters, and Suzuko's sunny attitude is a bit much for me, though at least she stopped hesitating and chose to fight.

No way, that's crazy! Chinatsu is trying to escape her life in the worst way, she looks so selfish. Suzuko is the opposite, too positive and hopeful. Even though things slow down a bit in this episode, the tension between their views is definitely building up.

Chinatsu was too cruel; her words had a strong impact. These Selectors go through way too much! The Bookmaker really knows how to pull the strings and turn everything upside down. This is getting exciting, especially seeing how all these crossed paths will unfold.
