Synopsis
After landing in a new town, the shy and reserved Ruko Kominato receives a deck of WIXOSS cards from her brother, a nice gesture to help the girl make some friends. Then one of the cards starts talking to her. Turns out the little avatar trapped inside, a girl named Tama, is alive, and owning her makes Ruko a "Selector", someone who battles other girls in a hidden version of WIXOSS where the winner gets their deepest wish granted. Sounds like a sweet deal until you learn what happens when you lose three times. The 12-episode TV series follows Ruko and her new friends Yuzuki and Hitoe as they get pulled deeper into a game that's way more sinister than anyone signed up for. Each girl has something she desperately wants, and the show is really good at making you understand why they'd keep playing even when the stakes get horrifying. J.C.Staff nails the atmosphere here, there's this constant unease underneath everything, backed by a soundtrack that gets under your skin. If you liked Puella Magi Madoka Magica's approach to taking a cute premise and dragging it somewhere dark, this hits similar notes. It's got the card battling hook of something like Yu-Gi-Oh but wrapped in genuine psychological tension closer to Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku. Don't go in expecting a straightforward card game anime. The cards are just the vehicle: this is really about desire, desperation, and what people are willing to sacrifice when they think they're running out of options.

This episode is literally one of the best finales I've ever seen. To see how they fight and show that they care for one another is just heartwarming to see. Can't believe that cliffhanger at the end as well, it makes me want to see Selector Spread Wixoss right now! ;)
This episode really sets up for the finale and i'm all here for it! This episode really makes you feel the emotions of characters and make you feel for them! Can't wait to see the finale!
The episode focuses more on the lore of what happens when u have become the eternal girl and the story that takes place arounds it. It's really messed up to some degree but it makes sense why some characters do what they do. Can't wait to see what's next!
This episode really threw me off guard lol. This episode focuses on Kazuki's emotions and also Ruuko's story and wow it's actually way different than I thought. Still a great episode tho 8/10.
This episode is different than the rest. It shows more of Kazuki's emotions coming into place and I don't know how to feel about it lol. Ruuko's relationship with her grandma is also a nice thing to see. Hopefully more great things moving forward from here ;).
This episode was good but I felt that the battle was too fast. They didn't really let u focus on the battle but they focused more on the overhead talking instead. Still a good episode imo tho! 8/10
We see some deep emotional stuff in this episode and it's getting way better than before. U actually finally get to feel the despair and emotions that the characters go through and I'm all here for it!
