Looney Tunes Gokko
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Don't let the cute art fool you — Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, and the rest of the Looney Tunes crew have been redesigned from the ground up as tiny, round-faced chibi characters, and somehow it works. Looney Tunes Gokko is a short-form ONA that drops these classic icons into a cheerful anime world where they bounce between playful, imaginative scenarios with zero dialogue. The comedy is entirely visual, carried by exaggerated expressions and the same chaotic energy you'd expect from characters who have been outsmarting each other and falling off cliffs for decades. Wile E. Coyote still chases Road Runner. Sylvester still eyes Tweety. The dynamics are intact, just filtered through a softer, rounder aesthetic built for quick online viewing. Each episode is fast and self-contained, which makes it easy to drop in and out without commitment. If you grew up watching Tom and Jerry Gokko or remember Tiny Toon Adventures fondly, this scratches a similar itch — familiar characters, light stakes, straightforward fun. It's also a reasonable gateway for younger kids who haven't encountered Looney Tunes before, since the chibi style is approachable and nothing requires prior knowledge. Fans of Animaniacs-style humor done through pantomime rather than rapid-fire jokes will probably get the most out of it. It's not trying to reinvent anything. It's just Looney Tunes wearing a different art style, keeping the slapstick, and trusting that the characters are funny enough on their own.
