Just when everything is going smoothly for the group, they hit a major bump. Mio's backstory is relatable, and the author did a great job of turning such a mundane and seemingly silly story into something that feels like it came straight out of a shounen series 🤣. Big props to the studio as well for adapting it so well. I'm also curious about what Tamaki said was her reason for playing fighting games.

So, if they do well in EVO Japan, are they heading to Vegas?

Episode Context

Episode 3 established the group's secret late-night gaming routine and formally brought Yu and Tamaki into Aya and Mio's orbit, making this the first episode where all four girls function as a genuine unit facing a shared challenge. Episode 4 stress-tests that new dynamic by introducing an external obligation that directly conflicts with their nightly habit, moving the season from clandestine meetups toward a more settled, friendship-driven rhythm. This transition positions the back half of the season to explore what these relationships look like once the novelty of secrecy gives way to something more grounded.
