Episode Context

Following Episode 3, which cemented Lara's place in Mari's life and set her prince-search in motion, this episode shifts that search into Mari's school environment and widens Lara's frame of reference through new peers. It marks a soft transition in the season, moving away from early adjustment-to-modern-life material and toward more personal questions about connection and what romance actually looks like up close. The introduction of Himeka and Ouji as a point of fascination for Lara suggests this episode is laying groundwork for relationship dynamics that will carry weight in the episodes ahead.
