The theme of the episode was sad, but we all saw this coming. The sea scene was visually amazing and they did a good job with the direction of the episode till the climax. The declaration of friendship in the egg room was wholesome, which made the ending sadder.

Fan service episode. I was wondering about the scales the entire episode as well maybe the can remove them or make them disappear at will. Or maybe they just didn't match with the swim soothes so the animators decided to remove it, i hope there will be a explanation next episode.

The scene where Alek explores the Leviathan’s massive kitchen was so funny, especially seeing his face when he first tried the hydrogen-breather rations. Deryn’s frustration while trying to fix the jammed winch on the mid-deck felt so relatable, you can tell she’s exhausted.
