Beautiful episode, it really hit me. I feel a bit bad for Volger but at the same time I'm happy that Alek has stopped being indecisive and knows what he wants to do now. Whether it's ultimately the correct choice or not remains to be seen.

Alek looked so conflicted when he saw the Nikola Tesla technology in person, and Deryn’s face when she realized the power it held was pure shock. The way the lightning arched across the metal coils in the dark was genuinely beautiful!

Episode Context

The penultimate episode of Leviathan delivers exactly the kind of tension escalation you want heading into a finale. 'Goliath' leans hard into suspense and investigation as Alek and Deryn confront the mysteries surrounding Tunguska, shifting the series from personal drama into world-shaking territory. The pacing is deliberate and methodical, this isn't an action sprint but a slow-burn revelation episode that rewards attentive viewers. Nikola Tesla's involvement adds genuine intrigue and raises ethical questions about weaponized technology and whether peace can be forged through overwhelming power. Expect philosophical weight alongside the tension, as both protagonists face challenges to their core beliefs. Orange's production carries the atmospheric dread well. This is a setup episode, but it earns its runtime by making the stakes feel genuinely consequential before the curtain falls.
