The reveal, awkwardness, wholesomeness, acceptance & forgiveness displayed a 360 view of the bond between Alek & Deryn. I like how that was the focus of the episode & it wasn't rushed or swept under quickly. The aesthetic of New York reminded me of Bioshock Infinite.

"Why didn't you trust me with your secret?" Immediately proves why he can't be trusted. Haha it is just crazy, and that new suit is really not good to the eye, i don't like it. But damn this episode is just insane!

That scene in the engine room where Alek finally confronts Deryn felt so heavy, the way the light flickered made the tension even worse. I loved the small detail of Deryn nervously twisting her flight goggles while she talked.

Episode Context

Episode 10 of 12 strips away the adventure scaffolding and turns the camera inward. 'Truth and Lies' is a character-driven installment that trades action set-pieces for tension built on secrets, identity, and the cost of deception. The dynamic between Alek and Deryn takes center stage as buried truths push toward the surface, forcing both characters into uncomfortable emotional territory. Expect a slower, more deliberate pace than the Siberian spectacle that preceded it, this is an episode that breathes, letting silence and loaded conversations do the heavy lifting. The tone is introspective and uneasy, with moral dilemmas replacing physical danger as the primary source of stakes. For viewers invested in the relationship dynamics and personal integrity of the leads, this is the payoff episode you've been waiting for.
