Chaos & lot of emotions. That was a well written ending to the S1. Alek & Deryn grew so much as characters & the change they brought in the world was evident towards the end. Them parting ways as they have different dreams & responsibilities as was so emotional. The CGI in animation & melodical music fit the series really well.
I enjoyed this. It wasn't a masterpiece of storytelling, mostly due to the silly and unrealistic decisions made by a lot of the characters, they just felt a bit too forced so they could move the plot along. It felt like a good kids series though. Those are my opinios haha.
The finale felt so right, especially that quiet moment on the hull where Alek and Deryn just sat watching the stars. It was such a relief to see them finally on the same page after all the secrets. Alek giving up his royal ring to help the crew was a huge growth and op moment
