I loved seeing the group grow closer this episode and watching their progress with the koto. Takezou becoming more responsible and Satowa becoming more understanding were great developments. Kudou’s persistence is especially inspiring as someone who also plays music as a pastime.
Episode 4 just started and we’re already hit with an emotional scene 🥲 Chika and the others can play, but still struggle to sync. They give it their all from morning till night. The dynamic is fun, animation supports it well. Can’t wait to hear them play together!
Despite the dramatic vibe of the plot, the shifting witty animations really keep the story from feeling dull. I am also loving Hozuki’s deepening development as she tries to start adapting and adjusting to their camaraderie, which I find to be heartwarming and also adorable.
