EPISODE REVIEWS

Glad to see Nagate is improving his people skills quite a bit and having more normal-sounding conversations; the way he stuck up for Izana makes him somewhat likeable. The pacing seems decent to me and really picks up towards the second half. The animation is a bit choppy at times, but the plot really keeps you engaged.

The main drawback with this animation style is how difficult it is to familiarize myself with the characters' faces. Because the facial features are almost exactly the same, I find myself relying completely on hair colors and hairstyles just to tell everyone apart.

I like the way the characters all clash and come together, but somehow it also feels like it's a bit forced? Could be a bit of a pacing issue here, but for now it does lay a good foundation on how Tanikaze will interact with them and how each characters' choices will influence the plot. The latter half of the episode is yet again intense, and I'm really glad they went for a 3D approach because it's really making the fights look good!
