Kanojo ga Separate wo Matou Riyuu
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Meet Amane Kojou — a high school track and field athlete with a boyfriend who won't go past kissing. That's the setup, and if you know where this genre goes, you can probably guess it doesn't stay wholesome. She pours all that pent-up frustration into athletics, but living alone in her apartment, she's got no real outlet — until things take a dark turn. Her middle-aged landlord has been secretly recording her private moments, and when he has leverage, the power dynamic between them shifts in ways that are uncomfortable by design. This is an ONA from Studio LEO, adapted from a manga, and it leans hard into the psychological tension of the situation rather than just going through the motions. There's a real sense of Amane being trapped between her unsatisfying relationship and this predatory figure who's exploiting her vulnerability. The character animation is notably expressive, which makes the emotional weight hit differently than you might expect from the genre. If you've watched stuff like Oni Chichi or Ane wa Yanmama Junyuu-chuu and wanted something that digs a bit deeper into the messy psychology behind the scenarios, this one scratches that itch. Fans of Boku no Yayoi-san will also recognize the slow-burn tension and complicated character dynamics at play here. Just know going in — the tone is intense and doesn't pull punches with its themes around consent and power.
