The "Skeleton Group" appearing was everything! 💀 Seeing them try to act tough only to get out-weirded by Rei and the boys is peak comedy. This reboot is keeping the soul of the original alive!

The animation is a bit low and direction of the story is everywhere. There are many exaggerated acts going on but the bowling scene was remarkable on this episode. Plot, character development, world building are nowhere to be found. Just pure gag and slapstick comedy.

ANOTHER FUNNY EPISODE, lol, though I feel like the show would've been so much better if it had better animation. But all in all a very enjoyable episode.

Episode Context

Episode 1 closed the book on the junior high era with a bang, making this the true launchpad for the high school setting that will define the rest of the 12-episode season. This episode establishes the new classroom dynamic, introducing eccentric classmates who are likely to become recurring sources of conflict and comedy. It's foundational work disguised as pure gag delivery, setting up character relationships and rivalries that subsequent episodes will build on.
