This episode is hyped because of the block, but it also portrays Tsukishima 's inner conflict of his perspective of the sport. Finally, showing he has a passion for the sport instead of just seeing it as a club activity and being emotionally distant from it.

I seriously can't stop thinking about that final point because Tsukki has always been the one guy who didn't seem to care about the stakes or the passion. Seeing him finally get hooked on the sport like Bokuto predicted was such a massive payoff for his character and I definitely screamed along with him when he finally blocked Ushijima

I have been waiting for tsukishima to have his moment since the training camp and seeing him clench his fist after that block actually made me tear up because he finally loves the game

Tsukishima really went all out on that block against Ushijima, I couldn't believe my eyes! My dude has been holding back so much, but seeing him finally scream like that just solidified for me how much he actually cares about volleyball.

kageyama staying so aggressive with those dump shots while the set was on the line really shows how much pressure he was putting on their setter to keep up

Tsukishima really spent the whole set just baiting their setter into a mistake, and seeing all that patience pay off with a clean kill block on Ushijima was so satisfying

the tension in that deuce was suffocating and you could feel the desperation from both teams until tsukki just shut the door on the top ace in the prefecture

tsukishima finally getting that one on one block against ushijima was insane and hearing him scream after being so cold all this time proved he finally caught up to the top players

calling the episode the halo around the moon is perfect since tsukishima is usually in the shadows but he shone brighter than anyone else with that match point block

tendo was doing his weird little dance and guess blocking everything until tsukishima showed everyone that cold logic and timing can stop even the most powerful monster

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the near-midpoint of this 10-episode season dedicated entirely to the Karasuno vs. Shiratorizawa match, episode 4 escalates the second set into grueling deuce territory after episode 3's 'Guess-Monster' began cracking Shiratorizawa's offensive patterns. It builds directly on Karasuno's defensive adaptations and sets the stage for episode 5, 'Individual VS Numbers,' where the spotlight shifts to how individual talent stacks up against collective strategy in this evolving slugfest.
