Tillie gives off major Cleric vibes but since she’s not in the opening's main lineup. She’s likely just a solid side character. Melan definitely feels like he’s joining the permanent party now though

We've left the first city and are now headed to a small village hidden deep in the forest. There, we'll embark on new adventures and meet new characters, continuing our escape from the empire and learning more about this world of beasts. This chapter has a balanced pace, remaining canon within the story with peaks of action and excitement.

Episode Context

Coming off the pivotal covenant between Jiiro and Kuumi in episode 2, 'Long Rain Village' functions as a transitional chapter that slows down to expand the world and introduce new characters whose dynamics will ripple forward. At the quarter mark of this 12-episode run, it builds emotional groundwork before the narrative picks up momentum heading into episode 4, 'The Drifting Spear.' This is an early-season investment episode, light on action, heavy on setup and character texture.
