The antagonist is honestly the best part of the show. He’s not doing evil stuff just to be edgy or pull a Sauron. It’s just business to him. He’s stuck doing awful research because it’s the only way to protect humanity from the beasts, so he treats the soldiers like pure resources. This anime is such a hidden gem this season

An excellent second chapter, they gradually develop the plot, some flashbacks to Jiro's past, plenty of action scenes with a balanced pace, canon within the story, pleasant to watch because it has a simple but enjoyable plot.
