Il Miglior episodio, la migliore serie degli anni 2000s, il capolavoro ultimo che dopo quest'ultimo ne hanno tratto da esempio. Che vi devo dire, B E S T S E R I E S !

Greed jumping into the fight with his ultimate shield to kick Father was great. The whole team is finally together and Father is losing his grip on that power he stole from the gate

Bradley going out because of a literal sunbeam is the most poetic thing and he actually looked peaceful at the end there

I thought it was all over when everyone collapsed and the souls were ripped out but Hohenheim is a genius for planning this for hundreds of years. Seeing him and Ed finally fighting on the same side is huge. Also the way Bradley died as a human instead of a monster felt like a perfect end for his character.

Hohenheim really played the long game and saved everyone. That counter circle activation with the souls flying back to their bodies was such a cool visual after that terrifying silence in Central

You can see the fear on Father's face when his body starts cracking and leaking energy. He thought he was a god and now he is just a failing mess trying to find more souls

Seeing Winry wake up back in Resembool after the souls returned was such a massive weight off the shoulders. The plan actually worked and Father is finally vulnerable for the first time

The way the sun reflected off the broken blade and blinded Bradley was the perfect opening for Scar. It felt like even the world was tired of the Fuhrer and gave Scar the win

Watching Father create a miniature sun in his hand was terrifying for a second. It was even better seeing Hohenheim take that power away immediately and humble him in front of everyone

Scar using the reverse transmutation circle to fix the alchemy was the most satisfying moment. Now the alchemists can actually fight back and Ed hitting Father with that giant stone fist felt so good

I still cant believe Hohenheim spent centuries walking around just to set up that soul return circle and it worked so well on Father

I can’t believe Bradley is actually gone for good now, and he really went out without any regrets while talking to Lan Fan. That fight with Scar was absolutely brutal to watch.

I couldn't believe Father tried to manifest a literal sun in his hand but it was so satisfying watching his skin start to bubble and crack when the souls left him

Bradley died with such a strange sense of peace and seeing him look human at the end instead of crumbling like the other homunculi was a heavy way to go out

Ed turning his body into a philosopher stone to break Pride from the inside was such a weird move but it really worked to stop him for good

The silence when the episode started without an opening song was so unsettling, because it really made the scale of everyone in Amestris losing their souls feel permanent for a minute

Scar using his brothers research to flip the script and restore alchemy through the reverse circle was such a massive moment for his character and Ishval as a whole

Everything moving to the surface for the final showdown was intense, and seeing Father fly through the ceiling while looking like a total mess really showed how desperate he got

Watching Father literally create a whole sun in his hand was terrifying and then Hohenheim completely undid the whole thing with that counter circle

EPISODE CONTEXT

Directly following 'Eye of Heaven, Gateway of Earth,' where Father's grand design reaches its terrifying apex, this episode plunges into the immediate fallout and the desperate measures the protagonists must take. As episode 61 of 64, it sits squarely in the series' endgame climax, serving as the critical turning point between Father's moment of triumph and the counteroffensive that begins in the next episode, 'A Fierce Counterattack.' Years of character development and plot threads — Hohenheim's centuries-long preparations, the Elric brothers' journey, the sacrifices of allies across Amestris — all converge here.
