Il grande piano di Van, che ha: lasciato Moglie e figli, con la morte di quest'ultima, ha toccato ogni città di Amestris, e tutto per fermare la bramosia del Padre. Nice, very Nice. Animazione Top!

The art design in this episode is top-tier. They really hit the creepy and dark vibes so well. Didn't expect the dwarf to actually be reaching toward the heavens but that scene was goosebumps-inducing

I like how despite the impending doom, Ed's group still tries to find ways to stop it. But wow this episode really goes to the villains. Those short snippets of everyone suffering around the country makes everything feel heavier

Oh wow Father's plan is really happening. The dialogue here and the visuals is crazy ominous. I wonder how their counter attack will play out when everything looks devoid of hope now

Epic, the only way to describe this episode and that particular sequence. FMA has officially crossed to the realm of Cosmic Horror. That begs the question, what else can the heroes possibly do to reverse everthing that has been done? One of the most memorable moment in the show.

Father's plan is enacted as the eclipse covers the land in darkness, and everyone grits their teeth to stop it while Scar and Pride face off in their final battle. Horrifying visuals and chaotic battles jam-packed in this episode.

My stomach turned because the ritual actually worked, and seeing the souls of every person in Amestris get sucked into that monster was horrifying. I am wondering if anyone is left alive after that red lightning.

It was a total Greed move to try and jump in and seize everything for himself and then Father just absorbed him like he was nothing. The power gap between them is just too big to bridge now

I have no words for what just happened to the entire country. Watching Father literally reach up and pull god out of the sky was insane, but the part that really got me was seeing Winry and Pinako fall over in Resembool. It feels like every character we care about is just gone and I just stared at the screen as everyone collapsed.

Wrath is a beast for fighting Scar while he is literally bleeding out and that duel was the only thing keeping things grounded while the rest of the world was ending. The intensity of their strikes was just unreal

I totally lost my mind when Scar finally used his other arm for reconstruction because it shows how far he has come since he first started killing alchemists and it actually caught Wrath off guard

Those shots of the empty bodies in the streets were haunting and it makes the stakes feel so much higher than ever before. Father is on a completely different level now that he has millions of souls

When that monstrous eye ripped through the eclipse, I honestly felt a chill go through me like nothing else. Father really *did* it, he grabbed the Truth, and seeing the planet turn into this desolate, empty husk made my stomach drop; I just couldn't believe the sheer scale of his arrogance.

I can't believe they actually let it happen and watching Winry and Pinako just collapse like that was too much. This show just ripped the soul out of the entire country and I am sitting here in total shock

Bradley admitting he only cares about his instinct to survive while fighting Scar is so chilling. He is a monster for staying on the attack while bleeding out like that and the action was intense

Ed crying like a baby at the radio station was the last bit of happiness before everything went to hell. The transition from that to the entire country dying was such a gut punch

May Chang trying to take on Father by herself was so brave, but she got absolutely wrecked by that red energy blast. It was hard to watch her get tossed around like a ragdoll

I'm still processing that ending and it reminded me so much of the Third Impact with how all the souls were just floating into the sky. Seeing Father basically become a god and pull the sun down was insane and I have no idea how Ed and Al are even supposed to fight something that can control the planet

I still can’t believe the episode ended right there and seeing everyone in Resembool just collapse like that was too much. Father actually did it and now everyone is gone

Scar using the reconstruction circle on his other arm was such a huge moment for his character. He finally stopped just destroying things and it was the only way to survive that fight with Bradley

EPISODE CONTEXT

Directly following 'Lost Light,' where devastating choices narrowed the path forward, this episode marks the decisive pivot into Brotherhood's climax — the antagonist's grand design shifts from theory to execution. It serves as the critical bridge between the buildup of the Promised Day arc and the explosive payoff of 'He Who Would Swallow God,' making it essential viewing with zero filler in sight. With only four episodes remaining, every scene here carries finality-level weight.
