👀 SPOILER-FREE SUMMARY

This is one of the most emotionally devastating episodes in all of anime, and Brotherhood wastes no time getting there. Episode 4 takes the Elric brothers into the world of bio-alchemy under researcher Shou Tucker, and what begins as warm, almost slice-of-life interactions with Tucker and his young daughter Nina gradually darkens into something deeply unsettling. The pacing is deliberate — Bones lets you get comfortable before pulling the rug out. Themes of scientific ethics, the cost of ambition, and where the line between genius and monstrosity falls hit hard. Edward's emotional range is on full display, shifting from enthusiastic student to someone forced to confront an ugly truth about the craft he's devoted his life to. Even veterans of the 2003 series will feel this one. Prepare yourself.
