Scar jumping off a bridge onto a moving train to save Marcoh was such a move and it shows how desperate they are to stay ahead of the military search parties

When that "old lady" just strolled right past Kimblee, I was already surprised, but then seeing it was Grumman in disguise? That's such a massive flex for a general, and it really makes me think he's always got a dozen backup plans working.

The idea of an immortal legion sounds absolutely horrifying, and it makes sense why Grumman would risk coming to Central in a dress just to warn Mustang about Raven's plan

I can't get over how creepy that tea party felt and seeing Bradley act like a normal dad made my skin crawl because we know what he really is underneath that smile

Major Armstrong talking about his sister makes her sound like a total nightmare and the brief shot of her on that throne in the north looks intense for the next arc

I think Kimblee is actually one of the most terrifying villains because he isn't just strong, and he is smart enough to see through every trick Scar tries to pull. Seeing him deduce exactly where they were going next was a highlight for me, and that brief moment where he almost recognized Grumman at the station really built the tension

Selim seems so sweet and innocent talking about his dreams but the atmosphere in that mansion was heavy and you can tell something is very wrong with the Bradley family dynamic

My stomach dropped when those guards pointed guns at Ed because he was just yelling at a kid and then finding out it was the Fuhrer's son changed everything so fast

I honestly felt sick to my stomach when Bradley walked into that room and started playing with his son, because knowing he has a normal family life makes him ten times more terrifying than before

I still cant get over General Grumman in that purple outfit and the way Mustang looked so confused was the best part of the whole day because the reveal that it was actually him made me laugh out loud

That scene in the Bradley mansion was so heavy and you could just feel how much Ed and Al wanted to run away from that tea party. It’s crazy how Bradley can act like a normal dad while being a total monster. Also seeing a glimpse of Armstrong’s sister at the Briggs fortress has me so hyped for the north.

I felt so sick watching Bradley play house with his wife and Selim because knowing he is a homunculus makes that whole tea scene feel like a horror movie

My heart stopped when those bodyguards pulled guns on Ed for yelling at Selim but finding out the kid is the Fuhrers son was the real shock

Hearing about the immortal legion plan made my skin crawl and it feels like the conspiracy in the military is even bigger than I thought

That look Bradley gave Ed before he left for Central Command was pure evil and it felt like he was telling Ed that he could kill him right then

Scar jumping off that bridge onto the train with Marcoh was such a gutsy move and it really shows how desperate they are to stay ahead of the military

The tea party scene at the Bradley house was actually terrifying and seeing the Fuhrer play the role of a doting dad while knowing what he really is just felt so wrong and sick

Kimblee is way too smart for his own good and the way he figured out Scar was heading north just by looking at the map is genuinely terrifying
kyogre_307's avatar
kyogre_307
The transition from the library comedy stuff to the dread of the Bradley mansion was handled so well, and seeing the Fuhrer just acting like a regular husband was way more disturbing than any fight scene. It makes you realize how deep the military corruption goes when even the top guy is faking a whole domestic life just to keep his cover solid

Watching Kimblee track Scar and Marcoh is actually scary because he is way too smart for his own good and he saw right through that train diversion like it was nothing and now they are in trouble

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off 'The 520 Cens Promise,' which sharpened the lines between allies and enemies, this episode deepens the personal stakes for the Elrics and Mustang while exploring the enigma surrounding Führer Bradley's inner circle. Sitting at the exact midpoint of the 64-episode run, it serves as a pivotal bridge episode—transitioning the narrative away from Central's political web and toward the northern frontier, directly setting the stage for the shift in setting and scale that 'The Northern Wall of Briggs' promises next.
