"Wirny le tue mani non sono fatte per uccidere, a me hai donato un braccio ed una gamba, hai aiutato quella donna a partorire. le tue mani sono per la vita, ricordatelo".

My eyebrows shot up when that tiny panda went straight for Ed and Al, providing such a hilarious, much-needed break from the relentless tension they've been facing. Seeing that little hierarchy chart with the panda at the top genuinely made me chuckle, offering a moment of pure, silly relief I really didn't know I craved.

May Chang appearing out of nowhere to rescue Scar with that earth wall was a massive save and her alchemy looks so different from the brothers. She really is a tiny powerhouse on the battlefield

I still cannot believe Lan Fan actually cut her own arm off just to trick Bradley, and the way she smiled in the sewer while bleeding out was incredibly intense. It makes sense why the episode is titled like that because she is a warrior. Then Ling drops the news that Bradley is a homunculus and everything just feels so dangerous now

Lan Fan is on another level and cutting her own arm off like that to save Ling was insane. She did not even hesitate and I was staring at the screen in shock because that was brutal

Gluttony snapping those cables when he heard Mustang's name just gave me goosebumps; that raw, unhinged reaction felt so genuinely terrifying, I actually gasped. My gut says he's about to go full berserk mode and try to devour absolutely everything in his path, which is a seriously messed-up way to end an episode.

That promise from Ed about the tears of joy really got to me and seeing Winry finally admit she likes him was such a sweet moment. My eyes were watering while they stood on that train platform

Ling telling everyone that Bradley is a homunculus changes the whole game, and seeing Mustang look that shaken up makes the threat feel much more real. The Fuhrer is the enemy hiding in plain sight

I about lost my mind when Ling finally told everyone that Bradley has the tattoo on his eye and it makes every scene with the Fuhrer so much creepier now

I am still shaking because Ling just casually dropped the news that the leader of the entire country is a monster and has the mark on his eye and everything

I was actually screaming when Lan Fan cut her own arm off like that to trick Bradley and her loyalty to Ling is just unbelievable

Winry finally admits she loves Ed on the train and it was just the sweetest way to wrap up her time in the city after that Scar mess

May Chang using those kunai to pull off alkahestry was really cool, especially since it lets her heal people from a distance unlike regular alchemy.

May Chang using that remote alchemy to grab Scar and run away was a total shock since it looks so different from what the brothers usually do

That scene with King Bradley drinking tea with Winry was way more tense than any of the actual fighting. You can see the terror in the eyes of the Elric brothers while they try to act normal, and it makes the revelation about his eye tattoo feel so much more dangerous for everyone in that room.

Ed reminding Winry that her hands are for healing instead of killing while she cried over the gun was so heavy

I really needed that moment where Ed yelled about tears of joy at the train because the rest of this was so heavy and Winry deserves some happiness

I still can't get over that ending because seeing Gluttony literally split his entire body open was pure nightmare fuel. I knew he was dangerous, but that transformation when he heard about Lust was something else entirely. It really puts into perspective how outclassed the brothers are right now, and that cliffhanger is going to keep me up all night.

My jaw hit the floor when Gluttony turned into a giant stomach mouth and his body just ripped open to show that void and now everyone is in trouble

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the emotional weight of 'Backs in the Distance,' episode 23 pivots decisively toward action and strategic maneuvering, escalating the central conflict with real consequences. This installment sits at roughly the one-third mark of Brotherhood's 64-episode run, a critical juncture where early narrative threads are converging into larger confrontations. It directly sets the stage for 'Inside the Belly,' where the fallout from these battlefield decisions begins reshaping the power dynamics in significant ways.
