EPISODE REVIEWS

Quieter episode this time, focused more on character growth than action. Mui's struggle to fit in with her classmates felt real, not like filler. The moment where Ficelle understands why she was able to stick with swordsmanship was honestly the best part of the episode — small but genuinely touching. Beryl's still doing his usual thing, holding everything together in the background without ever stealing the spotlight, which is basically the whole charm of this show. Pacing was a bit slow, but it paid off for character development.

It is funny how Beryl gets so awkward during the formal lunch with Selena, and then he just matches her power level during a handshake like it was nothing at all

The toast Mui gave to Beryl was so wholesome and it shows how much they all respect him even if he thinks he is just a simple guy from the countryside

That shadow wolf jumping out of the darkness right after the feast was such a sharp turn and the lethal look in Beryls eyes when he drew his sword was terrifying

The balance between the academy training and the darker hints from the High Priest is really working so far and it was great to see Beryl handle that power test from Selena without breaking a sweat, but that ending with the shadow wolf came out of nowhere while they were eating pie and then the whole place was under siege

Beryl's biggest strength as a protagonist is that he never acts like the strongest person in the room. He's always more concerned about helping others improve.

This episode was surprisingly wholesome. Watching Mewi slowly make friends might've been my favorite part cause girl has been through enough.
