Synopsis

Childhood friends who took way too long to admit they liked each other, Ryou and Souma are finally together, now figuring out what dating actually looks like. It's warm, a little awkward, and genuinely sweet watching them find their footing as a couple. Then her ex-boyfriend Rei shows up at work, and suddenly everyone has to deal with unresolved history they'd rather leave buried. The tension isn't overwrought — it stays grounded, which makes it more interesting than the usual love triangle setup. Ryou doesn't want anything to do with Rei, but circumstances push them together anyway, and that dynamic carries most of the drama in this second season. The comedy lands mostly because these characters feel lived-in rather than exaggerated. Each episode is short, so the pacing moves fast without lingering too long on any single moment. If you watched the first season and liked where things were heading, this picks up right where it left off without retreading old ground. Fans of titles like Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni or 3 Seconds Later, He Turned Into a Beast will recognize the format — short-form josei romance with explicit content woven into an actual story rather than just window dressing. The source is a web manga, and Studio Hokiboshi keeps the adaptation fairly faithful to that slice-of-life rhythm. Eight episodes, adult content, real emotional stakes underneath the heat.
