Episode Context

Sitting at episode 49 of 131, this installment is firmly in the early stages of the Future Trunks saga, one of Dragon Ball Super's most acclaimed arcs. It follows directly from Trunks' desperate arrival in the present timeline and uses his testimony to establish the stakes before the next episode escalates the conflict by bringing Goku Black into the present. This is essential connective tissue, skip it and the emotional weight of what follows loses its foundation.
