Episode Context

Sitting at episode 48 of 131, this marks the early stages of a major new arc following the lighter Universe 6 tournament saga, introducing a dark threat in Future Trunks' timeline that will pull the present-day cast into an extended conflict. The previous episode laid the groundwork by revealing this new enemy, and this episode escalates the crisis while setting Trunks on a path toward seeking help from Goku and the others. It's a critical launch point for one of Dragon Ball Super's most narratively ambitious storylines.
