Episode Context

Coming off Episode 5's character-focused 'Hare and Tortoise,' which laid the relational groundwork and hinted at brewing dangers, Episode 6 converts that tension into direct confrontation, making it the season's first true action pivot point. At the quarter-mark of a 24-episode run, this attack on the Kagemori estate signals the end of the introductory phase and the start of a more dangerous and plot-driven stretch. What gets set in motion here, the identities of the assailants, the clan's vulnerabilities, and the questions left unanswered, will clearly fuel the episodes ahead.
