I was caught off guard by how much I liked the supernatural romance stuff and the 80s aesthetic just fits the melancholic mood perfectly

you might forget this is an adult OVA for a second since the story about the dead girlfriend was actually pretty sad

the ending scene with the ghost girlfriend is easily the best part of the whole anthology, and the way it handles loss is surprisingly touching for this kind of show

I really loved the synth music during the beach scenes because it made the whole summer vibe feel super nostalgic and lonely

this one felt way different from the rest of the series and that ghost girl plot actually had some heart to it instead of just being weird

Seeing him deal with the memory of his girlfriend while hanging out with a ghost was heavy and the synth score made every scene feel like a dream

The romantic side of this story was handled with a lot of care and it makes the supernatural parts feel way more grounded and sad than you would think

It is surprising how a show like this can pivot into a legit ghost romance, and the 80s synth tracks really make the atmosphere feel thick with that summer heat and sadness

That 80s aesthetic is so strong in this one and the ghost girl plot gives the whole episode a really moody feel that stands out from the rest of the anthology

My heart broke when he realized she was a ghost because the 80s vibe was so perfect and I did not expect to get this attached to a short story

I didn't think a Cream Lemon episode could make me feel this nostalgic, but the synth soundtrack and that whole 80s summer atmosphere really sold the ghost romance for me. It felt more like a legit short film about grief and moving on, especially with how the music worked during their quiet night scenes. I really liked the emotional focus here

You usually come for the other stuff but the writing for the lost girlfriend plot was actually really moving and it felt like a genuine summer movie

The way the 80s synth kicks in during those quiet moments with the ghost girl is actually kind of beautiful and it carries so much more weight than the actual plot

I think I actually cried a little at the ending when he has to say goodbye to the ghost because it felt way more like a real romance than just another ova

Those random sci-fi settings they throw characters into without explanation always get me and the atmosphere in the desert was spot on

Miku and the others getting stuck in that weird futuristic wasteland was such a specific vibe and the art style really carried the whole thing

Trying to track down the right episode number is a total mess and you expect more action from a Cream Lemon entry but the sci-fi stuff was just okay

I really dug the retro 80s aesthetic in this one, and the way the world looked after they got transported was actually pretty cool for an old OVA.

The sci-fi plot in Summer Wind was so boring and you just want to see the girls but instead there are weird desert scenes and slow dialogue that goes nowhere

EPISODE CONTEXT

At episode 22 of 38, this installment sits in the back half of Cream Lemon's anthology run, following the dream-themed Episode 21 and preceding the more emotionally charged 'Two People's Life of Heartbreak' at Episode 23. As an anthology series, there is no overarching narrative arc connecting episodes, so this entry functions as a standalone piece independent of what surrounds it. Its placement between contrasting tones — dream fantasy before it, heartbreak drama after — highlights the series' deliberate variety.
