Corpse Princess: Aka

What a complete rip-off! I expected a lot better ending considering the previous episodes. The animation and the pace were great, but ultimately, for the plot, I was disappointed.

This episode is Action-packed. The camera angles used during the fights were totally wild and gave everything a cool cinematic feel. It felt incredibly fast-paced from the opening second. The dynamics were brilliant too.

The emotional weight in this episode is really heavy. The gritty animation backs it up perfectly. I actually had to pause for a second just to process what was happening on screen. The speed of the plot progression left me completely speechless, but in a good way.

I was on the edge of my seat for the entire twenty minutes. The character movements were crisp during the scenes here. It is rare for a show to make me feel this anxious, but the pacing was too good in this episode.

This episode picks the gear up of this anime. Everything about the animation felt chaotic to me. But the studio really flexed their budget on the lighting and the fast movements. It was really breathtaking.

A much-needed break from the constant fighting and bleakness. The pacing is totally relaxed here compared to the rest of the show. It gave me relief, but it also felt a little boring. And the art style felt noticeably softer to match the peaceful mood of this episode.

The tone shifts in this episode. Animators played around with shadows heavily, and it paid off beautifully for the atmosphere. I genuinely appreciated the slow build-up here.

The rhythm of the show is in full motion now. Some of the background art looked absolutely gorgeous despite the gloomy themes of the plot. I felt a nice balance between the dialogue-heavy scenes and the chaotic fights. Overall, it is quite satisfactory.

Not gonna lie, I hoped for a better ending to this season, but it just felt like an awful summary of the entire 13 episodes, like... yes, I did watch this. Was expecting more, and yes, I am pretty disappointed.

Wow, this episode definitely peaked with the amount of emotion packed into it. The soundtrack also complemented the action so well. Definitely a must-watch, and it really hypes the next episode quite well.

This episode was mostly about Keisei's origins, and it was quite an interesting watch to see how things fell into place. I think the introduction of the corpse gang was a little rushed, even though it was hinted at multiple times. Illegal ass cliffhanger though.

Ooooo, we're finally getting to the core of this anime with it being close to the end. I wasn't really a fan of the pacing, but the plot peaking towards the end makes it worth watching. Sad Ouri didn't get paid for his work for the month, though; if I were him, I'd be trying to track my boss down instead of being hung up over a girl who is already supposed to have died twice.

Damn, Ouri was a real mess when he first met his brother. The pacing was a bit haphazard this episode and not as consistent as the rest. The Ouri lore does make it slightly worth watching, though.

I feel horrid for Minai, but she was a real one. The girl went through so much even after her death. I don't really like having Ouri as a main character, though, ngl; his brother being the main makes more sense. This one was quite an emotional watch. Didn't expect that 10-year-old to be that strong lmao.

Makina gave Ouri some pretty solid advice ngl, but I don't really think he's going to take it. This was an action-heavy episode with a corpse that seems to be under some kind of delusion. It's scary how he's able to channel the delusion to make him stronger, like... is that something I'm supposed to take inspiration from? Loved the cliffhanger though, can't wait for the next.

To be completely honest, I don't like Ouri's character all that much. He seems to be looking at situations in a one-sided way while being overprotective of his brother when his brother has chosen his own path. I liked Makina's response to him in the end. Overall, a pretty good episode. The number of priests and their corpse girls in one episode was crazy though.

This was a really good episode with a lot of good reveals about the organisation and what exactly it does. It, of course, has a bunch of politics attached to it too, which makes it annoying. The mysterious character is finally revealed too. I liked how they managed to do all this while also incorporating a corpse case into it. The way Ouri's "brother" politely asked him to stay out of his affairs in the beginning was nice; I liked the flow of the conversation, and it was kinda emotional too.

Damn this episode required for there to be a trigger warning. The distorted voices of the corpses make the episode so much scarier. Props to Osaki for wanting to defy fate like that, though.

When I thought the last episode with the creepy kids was pretty freaky, this episode with the baby corpse rolled around. (T _T) This episode was really well done too; the pacing was perfect. Ouri's fever dream was especially well done, the colours and animation made those scenes really stand out. The fact that they managed to fit it all so perfectly into a single episode makes it an amazing one.

Yep, nothing freakier than kid corpses and that's what this episode is all about. The creepy aesthetic, the rain, the thunder, even the little sound of the crosswalks they all add subtly to the mysterious and slightly haunting vibe of this episode. The episode also manages to drop quite a bit of lore on Ouri while progressing the plot seamlessly, which is actually pretty cool.
