Satella's introduction was badass 💎 Her hatred for devils makes sense but Chrono being exposed put Rosette in a tough spot. The Mafia corpse smuggling plot was interesting. This world keeps expanding.

Here we see rosette embarking on her very first mission after promotion. There are new character introductions. A couple of funny scenes too. I'd say the pacing has kind of slowed down a bit. Still a good watch

The conflict between Satella and Chrono is the heart of the episode. She hates him for what he is, but she can't deny that he's helping people. And Chrono, for his part, doesn't try to defend himself he just lets her see what he's doing.

Episode Context

Coming off the training ground trials of 'Militia' in episode 5, 'Jewel Witch' expands the cast and complicates the group's trajectory by introducing Satella Harvenheit as both a potential ally and source of friction. Sitting at the quarter mark of this 24-episode run, this is a pivotal world-building episode that deepens the show's mythology around demon hunters. It directly sets the stage for episode 7, 'Devil,' where escalating stakes will test these newly drawn battle lines.
