Rosette taking the Militia test was tense 😰 Remington releasing a devil for the test felt shady. Azmaria being possessed by the Mind Eater had me stressed. Rosette diving in to save her showed real courage.

Another very touching episode, here we see Rosette's strong resolve to do whatever is necessary or needed to rescue her younger brother. The pace is okay so, stakes are gradually building too

This episode is a mixed bag. On one hand, the mind eater possession is a genuinely creepy concept, and Rosette's soul exorcism is a cool, unique power we haven't seen before. Remington secretly releasing a demon into the test is a huge red flag. But I get the criticism. Azmaria's trauma is starting to feel repetitive, and the episode spends a lot of time on her I'm useless spiral instead of giving us more action.

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 4's deeper dive into the connection between the Apostles and the Sinners, this episode pivots to Rosette's personal stakes and her drive to become a stronger exorcist. It serves as a crucial character-building chapter in the first quarter of the series, strengthening foundations before the team heads into Episode 6's 'Jewel Witch' assignment, where new supernatural threats and allies enter the picture.
