The hellhound was a cool monster design 🐕 Satella and Rosette teaming up was fun to watch. The beast having no physical body made it a unique threat. Elder's new machine came in clutch.

This episode has to be a filler cause it was in no way related to the main plot or storyline. It's not bad, it's interesting but you won't miss anything if you skip this

After the emotional weight of the flashback episodes, this one is a letdown. It's not terrible the Gabriel Hound is a cool concept, and the fight in the subway is decent but it feels like the show is stalling. Satella's summoning incantations are a highlight for fans of the magic system , but the episode as a whole is forgettable.

Episode Context

Coming off 'Horn,' which deepened the mystery surrounding Joshua and the series' central conflict, 'Beast' functions as a deliberate breather episode, a standalone supernatural case that offers character development for Rosette and Chrno without advancing the main plot directly. Sitting at the midpoint of the 24-episode run, it provides thematic groundwork around justice and moral ambiguity before the narrative escalates into 'Holy Night,' where the overarching storyline regains momentum heading into the second half.
