After the emotional weight of the flashback episodes, this one is a letdown. It's not terrible the Gabriel Hound is a cool concept, and the fight in the subway is decent but it feels like the show is stalling. Satella's summoning incantations are a highlight for fans of the magic system , but the episode as a whole is forgettable.
