Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle

Synopsis
Everyone wants to be Saku Chitose, popular, confident, and surrounded by friends with dating prospects everywhere. He's basically the king of his high school in Fukui Prefecture, and he knows it. But here's the thing: maintaining that perfect image is exhausting, and not everyone buys it. Some people straight-up resent him for it. Then his homeroom teacher drops a challenge on him: help Kenta Yamazaki, a shut-in classmate who's completely checked out of school life. Suddenly the guy who has everything figured out on the surface has to deal with someone who wants nothing to do with him or his world. This 13-episode TV series from studio feel. is built on that tension between how people present themselves and what's actually going on underneath. The comedy lands, the romance threads are there, but what keeps you watching is the character work: Saku slowly realizing his "perfect life" philosophy has blind spots, and Kenta forcing him to confront them. If you liked Oregairu's sharp take on high school social hierarchies but want something warmer and less cynical, this hits that sweet spot. There's also a Hyouka-like quality to the pacing: it's not in a rush, letting conversations breathe and relationships develop naturally. Fans of Toradora's blend of comedy and genuine emotional moments will find a lot to connect with here too. It's a school romance that actually cares about why its characters are the way they are.

Man, Saku really stood up for Asuka in that meeting. It was intense to watch him challenge her dad and his old teacher.
Asune's father had some harsh truths about pursuing dreams but he wasn't wrong
Chitose really stood up for Asune against her dad, it was really brave of him to do that
Man, when Saku called Asuka his Moon I felt that hard. What a beautiful way to show her importance in his life
I can't believe Asuka just went for it with that uniform date idea. Seriously bold and kinda cute how she sprung it on him. It totally caught Chitose off guard.
Asuka revealing her dream to be an editor was really sweet. You gotta love how passionate she is. Chitose listened so intently.
Okay, the Asuka arc is officially here and it's everything I hoped for. Her interactions with Chitose are so good, the teasing is just perfect.
Man this episode really hit different after the long wait it was so good to see everyone back
Man, seeing Saku get all flustered when Asuka was talking to that other guy really got me smiling. He's totally got it bad.
There are some real moments here that hit emotionally, especially with Asuka’s arc coming full circle. But the pacing and quiet tone make it feel less like a climax and more like a pause before next season. But aside from all that, this was a pretty solid ending
I liked how the episode gave room for Asuka to make her own decision and grow and feels mature. Still, it’s pretty low‑key, and anyone looking for dramatic payoff might walk away wanting more (like me) LOL
Ohhht this wraps up this arc in a way that feels complete, just not explosive. I appreciate the growth and the gentle resolution more than a loud finale, but I know some viewers might find it too soft.
This installation keeps the focus on feelings and uncertainty, which works… until it drags. There’s good growth and realistic conversation, but not much in the way of stakes or payoff yet and the ending is suggesting something about to go south. T_T
I get what the episode is trying to do with Asuka’s self‑reflection and Saku’s quieter support, but it doesn’t quite hit the emotional punch it’s aiming for. Still, there are some genuinely nice moments. The ending was a visual spectacle <3
This episode deepens Asuka’s emotional world a bit more, which is nice, but sometimes it feels like everyone is just talking rather than things moving forward. It’s introspective and worth it if you like character slow burns.
Not the most memorable standalone episode, but it sets the mood. Some nice interactions and real feelings, just not a whole lot actually happens. Good calm slice‑of‑life energy though. Also weird how Asuka didn't want them meeting at school at first but now....LOL
This episode doesn’t bang hard, but it does give subtle character vibes. Asuka’s presence makes you curious about her, though the pacing feels kind of slow and thoughtful instead of exciting
Yeah this one finally hits 😳 Everything starts getting real, and you can feel the shift immediately. Saku, happy birthday!
This episode made me feel for Yuzuki a lot more. Once things are out in the open, it’s like… yeah, she’s been dealing with way more than she let on. Kinda heavy but really good. Angy Saku is kinda hot too xD
Honestly felt like a payoff episode. After all the buildup, things finally start coming out. Saku feels more decisive here too, not just guessing what to do. This episode gives off such a bittersweet tone it's almost physically painful T_T
