There’s progress early on, then it crashes hard. I liked seeing Kenta try, but the group dynamic turns cold fast. It’s messy in a realistic way, but also kind of hard to watch xD

This dives into the gap between intention and impact. Saku thinks he’s guiding Kenta, but socially he misreads everything. The episode works because it doesn’t sugarcoat that and Kenta’s reaction feels justified, not exaggerated.

This episode really tests your patience with Saku. His attempt to “help” Kenta crosses a line, especially during the soccer scene and it feels more humiliating than supportive. You can see the trust break in real time

Episode Context

Building directly on Episode 2's setup of Saku's project to help Kenta reintegrate into school life, Episode 3 digs into the friction and vulnerability that come with that undertaking. This is still early-season groundwork, just episode 3 of 13, establishing the emotional stakes and character dynamics that will carry the rest of the series. It lays critical foundation for the evolving relationships between Saku, Kenta, and their wider peer group as the high school social landscape grows more complex.
