Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Part 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
At Fuji High School in Fukui Prefecture, Saku Chitose is the guy everyone either wants to be or wants to be around — top grades, star athlete, effortlessly popular. Sounds insufferable, right? That's kind of the point. This second part of Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle picks up his story at Fuji High School in Fukui Prefecture, where Saku's picture-perfect social life keeps running into people who don't fit neatly into it. His teacher asks him to reach out to Kenta Yamazaki, a classmate who's basically shut everyone out after some rough experiences. Kenta wants nothing to do with Saku or his golden-boy routine, and watching that friction play out is where the show finds its emotional weight. The comedy and harem elements are there — Saku's surrounded by a tight crew that includes several girls with obvious feelings for him — but the series is more interested in why people connect than in cheap romantic gags. It's a TV series adapted from a light novel, and the writing treats its cast like actual teenagers with real insecurities hiding behind confident faces. If you liked Oregairu's take on high school social hierarchies or the way Hyouka made mundane school life feel genuinely compelling, this hits a similar nerve. There's also a bit of Toradora's warmth in how it handles relationships without rushing them. The Fukui setting gives it a grounded, small-city atmosphere that keeps things from feeling generic. Worth your time if character-driven school romance is your thing.
