The strategy talk during the match was fantastic. Pacing of this episode is great and the animation looks good too.

It's weird that it took 8 episodes for the anime to actually explain the mechanics of Karuta. I just thought it was a first-touch game. Tho it's problematic that they're fatshaming Nishida for the humor, but I guess that was "comedy" and socially "acceptable" in the 2010s.
