Killer introduction to an amazing story. This episode does an amazing job at establishing the themes of discrimination, prejudice, and social dynamics. While they may parallel real life scenarios, the author, Itagaki Paru, did not intend to mimic real life, but rather explore the possibilities of this unique setting. The elephant in the room, besides being the first furry anime to break into mainstream of course, is the choice of a 3D adaptation over a 2D one. While it does have a lot of charm and allows for more realistic character acting, which is something Itagaki herself has mentioned caring about conveying in the 3rd major arc of the manga, this art direction misses out in bringing her amazing art style into motion. This becomes especially apparent when comparing it to Saru Science's adaptation of Sanda, which is much more faithful to the source material and executes it in a beautiful fashion. Nevertheless, 3D animation still gets the job done, because the story is strong and gripping.

After the insident in the theatre scene they were acting, we can observe how Legossi starts to ask himself about his desire to be by Haru's side. He will explore emotions he never felt, but also the ones he never showed.

Well, I think I hate Rouis. He believes is that great and he isn't. I wish Legoshi eats him.

It's rare. It's strange. But for a reason that I still don't know I want to end it. PS: The opening is just one of the best. I just love it.

Me gusto el final, me dejó con muchísimas ganas y salivando por la segunda temporada. Fue una serie que supo dar un gran inicio y mantener la tensión hasta el ultimo segundo del anime, de hecho aumento la apuesta durante todo ese momento y se agradece. Solo por eso vale la pena, hay muchísimos animes que solo pueden dar 1 primer capitulo bueno, pero en este los 12 valen la pena.

Jack, siempre un perro fiel. Me gusta la forma en que los personajes van cerrando capítulos en sus vidas mientras son sinceros con ellos mismos. Legoshi ha tenia unas 24 horas de una catarsis tras otra, ya extrañaba el Legoshi inseguro y nervioso que se va a pantalla azul por todo. Haru, por otro lado, creo que está lejísimos de cerrar aunque sea un camino de su vida, toda la crisis existencial que Legoshi vivió en los últimos 11 capítulos, Haru apenas lo está sintiendo con ganas.

Amo a ese Panda. Se nota que es el maestro renuente, pero es muy rudo en una pelea. Me gusta el personaje de Haru, es un fuerte y decidida, no juzgo la forma en la que decidió buscarse y afirmarse asimisma, pero la sigo juzgando un poco por meterse en una relación activa... y por enamorarse del pechifrio.

Ahora me pregunto por qué Legoshi le rinde como tanta reverencia a Louis, o sea, el tipo ni lo topa la mitad del tiempo y cuando si es porque lo necesita para algo que lo beneficia en su mayoría a él. También me alegra saber que no han olvidado los casos como el de Tem, aunque veo difícil que lo resuelvan en 3 capítulos.

There's a lot of unresolved conflict but outside of Tem's murder, the entire season encapsulate a beautiful yet dark romance story that took into account the social pressure and animal instinct that cannot simply be brush off by the "power of love" which makes the conflict easier to take more serious. Love the conclusion that Legosi's arc has taken, and the world building is also makes it enjoyably immersive.

Boy, was it one of the most emotional moment between Haru and Legosi as they continue trying to bridge the species gap between them. It was a spicy episode with Louis coming in the last second with a bang. The tension was enough to keep any one on the edge of their seats. The visual storytelling was also top notch this episode.

No sé si será una opinión impopular, pero no me gusta el ship de Legoshi y Haru, me gusta su relación como mecanismo de trama para ver ambos lados del problema y los conflictos que causa buscar un punto medio, pero si fuera una amistad también serviría de alguna manera. Ojalá que no queden juntos. Por otro lado, la declaración de guerra entre Louis y Juno ufff... increíble, 10/10, ya hacia falta que alguien le bajará los humos y que se los bajen mutuamente fue la mejor parte.

Haru's character was so emotional and, not to be ironic, humanizing. The way she struggle to find acceptance and the conflict of living in dignity makes it easy to understand why Legosi would fall for her.

Me encanta la amistad entre Jack y Legoshi, son tan tontos y llenos de inseguridades, pero al mismo tiempo tan leales entre sí! La historia de Legon me mato de la risa, fue increíble, tenía está duda sobre la alimentación en este mundo y me encanta que no solo lo resuelvan sino que sea tan importante para la narración. ¡Triangulo amoroso a la vista! ¡proceda con precaución!

Para poder vivir en sociedad los humanos nos deshicimos de todos nuestros instintos naturales y lo que ahora creemos que son nuestros instintos en realidad son conductas que llevamos siglos perfeccionando. Legoshi demuestra porque la sociedad y los instintos naturales son incompatibles en muchas maneras no solo físicas sino también psicológicas, pero lo más trágico y bello del asunto es que él sigue intentando.

Vemos las consecuencias del arranque de ira de los dos carnívoros, pero gracias a Louis las cosas no fueron tan terribles para Legoshi. También nos presentan otro personaje, Jack, quien le hace honor al esterotipo de los golden retrivers. ¡Y hay avance en el romance!

Volvemos a subirle a todo lo que marca al drama!! Sinceramente me gusto más está obra que la anterior. Más intensa y más desahogo. Aunque ahora tengo curiosidad cuál es el efecto de ese dopaje en los carnívoros. Pero sobre todo, estoy feliz que Louis con pierna facturada y todo corriera ayudar a Legoshi, o sea, ambos tienen ahí un tema medio turbio, pero me encanta como se apoyan y se retan.

Lo sentí super cortito. Este capitulo se centro en su mayoría en Legoshi y Louis, lo que los motiva y la razón por la siguen adelante. Además de que vimos la obra de teatro que nos andan anunciando desde el primer capitulo.

Ese final jajajaja no lo vi venir. Maravilloso. Le bajaron 2 rayitas a la intensidad pero le subieron a la comedia y 10/10, Legoshi es tan incomodo a la hora de interactuar que me da pena, pero al mismo tiempo lo entiendo totalmente. Pobre lobo ya alguien dele un descanso. Y el opening en stop motion ¡absolute cinema!

So many things happening, making this a densely packed episode. We have Louis with his dark backstory that the theme carried over to this arc's main conflict. However, the appearance of a newly named faction was a bit abrupt and the execution rushed. Tem's murder was reference but the story has so far been focused on teenage drama and instead of the mystery that makes it a poor narrative decision to introduce predator-prey conflict when Tem has never haunted the narrative outside the first episode.

Haru and Legosi's relationship is always interesting since it also explores the gap experience they have as two wildly different species that is even more contrasted by the rivalry between Juno and Louis this episode.
