As the first of four standalone chapters, this episode establishes Yuuki and the world of Yomase-machi from scratch — there is no prior episode to build from. The 'Kanbayashi Mizuki Chapter' is entirely self-contained to Mizuki's relationship with Yuuki, laying the tonal and atmospheric groundwork that subsequent chapters — centered on Koharu and Sayuki respectively — will follow as separate character-focused vignettes within the same setting.
