The title is such a massive bait, I really expected something else but the way they use the humor is just wild

You expect a regular rom-com and then the show just does something completely gross for the sake of a joke and it works

The dialogue in this is so vulgar and I was not prepared for how unhinged the script gets compared to the first episode

Mio and Shuuji are actually talking about their feelings now and it feels way more real than a normal romance show

I thought the title meant something totally different but it was just a weird BBQ and that made me laugh so hard

While the animation is good, the story beats are starting to feel a little predictable and I wish there was more focus on their actual conversation instead of just the physical stuff

I think the way Mio and Shuuji keep clashing is hilarious, because you can tell they are both just stubborn adults who forgot how to actually connect with someone. The hotel scene was intense, but seeing them try to act normal in a professional setting afterward was even better. I hope they keep this momentum going because their chemistry is actually really solid

those intimate scenes were animated so much better than usual and the chemistry between the leads is starting to build up
nami_navigator_82's avatar

I keep thinking about how they both tried to pretend that first night together meant nothing even though they clearly wanted more
diamond_322's avatar

Mio trying to navigate her feelings while maintaining her successful image made the workplace scenes so much more interesting than the hotel stuff
clemont_340's avatar
clemont_340
the dialogue is kind of stiff and the way Shuuji talks to her is more annoying than charming so it is hard to care about them
miyuki_shirogane's avatar
miyuki_shirogane
Mio is such a relatable lead because she is so competent at her job but a total mess when it comes to Shuuji and his smug face
koromodako_74's avatar
koromodako_74
I really liked the scene where Mio was trying to act professional at work after what happened and then seeing Shuuji again just made her lose her cool
buruburu_blade's avatar
buruburu_blade
the pacing feels a bit rushed and they jumped into the second meeting way too fast for the story but the art is still decent enough
chibiusa's avatar

Shuuji looks like a total jerk at first but that hotel scene really changed the way he treats her and the tension is actually pretty good
bewmbeatz's avatar

It is wild how much story they cram into six minutes and that realization about their compatibility at the end was the highlight of the episode
veldora_vortex's avatar

Watching two grown adults struggle with catching feelings is hilarious and the awkwardness between Mio and Shuuji in this one felt so real
sailor_uranus_397's avatar
sailor_uranus_397
The way these two are overthinking every little interaction now just proves they were meant to find each other again after so long
ptilol_385's avatar
ptilol_385
I really like that they are focusing on the emotional side this early and seeing Shuuji actually care about the chemistry they had was a nice touch
byakuya_of_the_dreams_253's avatar
byakuya_of_the_dreams_253
Mio trying to act all professional at work after that night is so funny because you can tell she is totally distracted by how well they clicked

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the initial encounter that established the central dynamic in Episode 1, this episode shifts from introduction to exploration — Mio and Shuuji move past first impressions and start genuinely reckoning with each other. At Episode 2 of 8, the series is still in its early-arc phase, using this installment to lay the emotional groundwork that the back half will likely pay off on.
