Animation style was beautiful, I love how they use principles such as squash and stretch. The begging of the story was a total cliffhanger, and the characters, funny as hell. I think Kimari defending Shirase was a proof of the friendship they gonna make.

Atsuko Ishizuka's direction is genuinely strong. Antarctic scenery is gorgeous, animation's consistent throughout all 13 episodes, and the structure is tight without bloat. The 13-episode format forces efficiency: setup, prep, travel, arrival, wrap-up, no filler. If you're here for "CGDCT that actually has stakes and makes you want to take action in your own life," it's one of the best in the genre, maybe top 3 alongside K-On! and Yuru Camp.

Mari and Megumi completely carried this episode. The friendship tension felt painfully real, and seeing Mari quietly handle everything hit harder than some huge dramatic speech. Also, everyone preparing for the trip made it feel like something huge was finally happening.

Final episode was such a soft emotional goodbye 😭 The visuals were stunning, especially the aurora moment, and the girls wrapping up their journey felt so real. It balanced humor and heartfelt farewells perfectly. The plot twist at the end was the ultimate. I'll miss them ❄️✨

Shirase is the ultimate ride-or-die! and whole group dynamic in this episode just hits that "we've got your back" energy without anyone needing to overexplain it. It's all support, no fluff!!

Yuzuki's fear of losing her first real friends made me sad. Also, everyone quietly figuring out "what friendship means" and the surprise at the end made it super warm and emotional😭.

That shout was pure hype, and it really showed how far they’ve all come as a team and that final stretch with the ship moving through the ice was absolutely breathtaking. Pure chills 😭🔥.

It was a nice ending. It felt complete and it was awesome to see the character's development each one has had.

Best chapter so far, to see how the last trip they made inland turned into something so emotive, and the mail scene, was all heartbreaking

The girls acting tough but getting wrecked by seasickness was hilarious 😭. I love the mystery of Mari's hair finally being solved 💀 and Shirase trying her best is adorable. The conversation about 'choice' hit deeper than i thought.

We finally get a full picture of the background of Hinata, we get to see how the power of the friendship she's made with the other girls, gets her through the pain caused by her last friends

Getting to know a little of the insecurities of the girls and seeing how they help each other, and at the same time getting to see how does a day look in the antarctic, it made the episode awesome.

Getting to know the captain through a normal topic such as love, which is usually ignored in these animes, was something original. And getting to set foot on ice for the first time in the anime, made the episode one of the best so far

The comedy still had me laughing (those girls are chaos in the best way 💀), but you can really feel things getting serious for the crew. Shirase especially is just… carrying so much emotion without even saying much.

This episode is such a fun mix of chaos and heart 😭 The Singapore detour, the panic, and the durian moment are pure suffering comedy. Their bond is getting SO real!!
