This is the first episode I liked. I loved that we delved deeper into the character and saw how her actions affected other people. The mystery of the world keeps developing.
The episode might feel like filler, but honestly, I don't think it is. It just has a slower pace and a subplot to show us why Berry joins the detective club and leaves her family behind, at least for now. She's a character with a lot of determination so far, and honestly, it surprises me how quickly she learned to use her new abilities.
We finally get the reveal as to why our main character acts like that, but it still doesn't excuse the grating behavior these last few episodes and treating it as "cute." So we are really heading to darker territory from now on. Despite the inconsistencies, there is at least a direction now for the narrative, although quite cliché by modern standards. Let's see if they can pull through next time.
