Kotoha episodes never miss for me. Under all the supernatural chaos, this is really about someone feeling scared of becoming a burden to the people she cares about. The emotional side lands way harder than I expected, and seeing everyone rally around her is exactly why I love this cast so much.

It's a good episode. It just that this episode can be considered as a filler episode instead as it does not progress the story much. But I like how it at least explain a bit more about the world of this anime and how the relationship between the humans and youkai are handled.

What a total letdown coming to this second episode. Thought that it might be greater than the '08 adaptation, but the pacing slowly progressed from the banger first ep, with dialogue-driven and school scene, not visualized in the '08 series. The start has a hint of fan service, and unexpectedly in the second half, it was indeed in full throttle, unnecessary to the plot. Hence, the action and that intensifying aura were so terrifying.
